Amateur Radio Club to celebrate 100 years

That was early in the history of the club that will celebrate its 100th anniversary Saturday and Sunday.
The club will hold an Open Station Day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, when the public will be invited to visit the radio station at the top of the stairs in Penn State’s Wagner building and see it in operation. Club members will operate a “Special Station” with the call sign K3PSU and talk to people around the world.
At 2 p.m. Sunday, the club will hold a Foxhunt — an exercise in finding a hidden transmitter using radio direction- finding techniques. No experience or licenses are needed to participate.
