But the car, driven by Kendra Myers, 18, of Howard, crossed in the path of a northbound car, was struck and forced into a car on the other side of the intersection.
Dutton suffered a “major injury,” according to state police at Rockview, and was flown to Geisinger Medical Center. No details of her condition were available.
Neither the driver of the northbound car, Thomas Jaskowak, 36, of Beech Creek, nor the third car’s driver, Nicolas Boyle, 22, of Howard, were hurt.
Police charged Myers, who also was not injured, with a stop sign violation.
