Bridge work may cause delays on Rte. 322 Thursday

Motorists traveling on Route 322 near Port Matilda Thursday may encounter some delays.
Work on the Laurel Run Bridge on state Route 3023 (Reese Hollow Road) is continuing, and eastbound traffic on Route 322 between the top of Port Matilda Mountain and Reese Hollow Road will be stopped by flaggers as beams for the bridge arrive, according to the state Department of Transportation.
Delivery of the beams is expected to take place from late morning through the afternoon.
The bridge spans Laurel Run on Reese Hollow Road in Worth Township. All work on the bridge is weather dependent, with completion expected in early September. Nestlerode Contracting Company, Inc. is the contractor on this $637,000 project.
