The planned Fergie concert at Beaver Stadium, as well as other Gridiron Bash events at college campuses, have been postponed.
The Gridiron Bash has has discontinued ticket sales, according to the university.
The Fergie concert was scheduled for Friday, April 18, as part of Blue White Weekend festivities.
A recent recent ruling by the NCAA prohibits student-athlete participation in the Gridiron Bash, and that was the reason for the cancellation, according to the university.
Fans who have purchased tickets to the Penn State event can receive refund information at GoPSUsports.com beginning Monday, the university reported, and anyone who participated in the text voting aspect of the competition will not be charged.
The Blue White weekend carnival around Beaver Stadium will begin at 6 p.m. April 18 and the game follows at 2 p.m. on April 19.
