Traffic changes mark PSU student return

State College police have designated Friday through Sunday as “Penn State Student Return Days” and announced traffic changes to accommodate returning students.

To minimize anticipated unloading problems, one eastbound travel lane on the 600 block of East College Avenue will be closed each of those days from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., according to borough police. The lane closure is to allow students to unload their vehicles.

Some minor traffic delays are expected on East College Avenue between South Garner Street and University Drive due to the influx of vehicles entering State College, police said.
