PSU police list items taken from football players' apartment

A list of the items seized by police from the on-campus apartment of four football players includes marijuana and prescription pills.

Penn State police listed the items in a search warrant that they obtained after responding to a call about noise violations in a unit at the Nittany Apartments. They said they smelled a strong odor of marijuana and later found “a small amount” of the drug.

To constitute a “small amount of marijuana” there must be less than 30 grams.

The search warrants were executed on A.J. Wallace, Andrew Quarless, Maurice Evans and Abe Koroma, and Penn State student Aristides Nova, who told police he was staying at the apartment temporarily, according to the warrant.

No charges had been filed as of Friday in connection with the Tuesday incident.

The items seized include: 5 roaches (marijuana cigarette butts); 3 samples of suspected marijuana; an expired Pennsylvania learner’s permit; a bag of marijuana with an empty cigar from a trash can; mixed pills outside a trash can; a can containing a marijuana roach; bagging containing marijuana; a bag of marijuana in a trash can; ripped bagging from a trash can; a Penn State ID card.

Coach Joe Paterno said Quarless, Evans and Koroma will not play today against Oregon State. Wallace is expected to play.
