Upcoming David Award - A local Nominee - Natalia Pilato

Posted by William Snyder III on March 11, 2011

Natalia Pilato is an artist and co-organizer of Community Arts Collective in State College PA.  Ms. Pilato has been nominated for the David Award for her coordination of several large scale murals in central Pennsylvania.  Looking at the mural project in Williamsport, PA, she worked to change the lives of young children living in an impoverished area of the community.  The student involvement in generating ideas and participating in creating a mural about themselves growing and learning has made a lasting impact on the kids' lives.  They learned about community, vision, and purpose, and will have a lasting memory of the mural they had a hand in painting.
