Hello. We're the Centre Region Bicycle Coalition (CRBC), a volunteer-run non-profit advocacy group dedicated to making bicycling safer and more accessible in the Centre Region. We also work with our local municipalities on transportation issues that make our region better for those of us who walk, bike or take the bus. You can find us at our website, www.centrebike.org.
Why cycle? You'll hear from cyclists who have a wide range of reasons they cycle - commuting, recreation, improved fitness. Most of all because bicycling is fun! We'll identify events that will allow you and your family to participate in bicycling at a variety of levels. Do you want to ride but don't know where the best routes are found? Do you need a refresher course in on-road bicycle safety? Do you wonder what the rules of the road are? We'll address these questions and many others over the next months.
Did you know that May is National Bicycle Month? CRBC has hosted Bike to Work days, then Bike to Work Week, and this year will be celebrating cycling all month with a variety of activities all over the Centre region. Watch this blog for announcements.
Please email us at centreregioncyclist@centrebike.org with any questions, concerns or comments. We'll be happy to address your questions in future blog posts.
Ride safely,
Centre Region Cyclist
