Uplifting Athletes raises most of its money in the fight against kidney cancer with Penn State's annual Lift For Life fundraiser. This week, the organization hopes to generate some more money with an activity the players should enjoy a little more.
The Nittany Lions will offer themselves up to the dunk tank this Friday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. near Beaver Stadium as part of Blue-White festivities. Proceeds will benefit the Kidney Cancer Association.
Players initially scheduled to participate include Drew Astorino, Brandon Beachum, Christian Kuntz, D’Anton Lynn, Matt McGloin, DeOn’tae Pannell and Nate Stupar. A full schedule will be posted later in the week at the Uplifting Athletes website.
Penn State's chapter of Uplifting Athletes has raised more than $500,000 for the KCA since 2003.
