All this rain is good for something. The sun came out and in patches and warmed things up enough for the earth to start sprouting one of Pennsylvania’s premier gifts—morel mushrooms! Now is the time to tread softly in the woods with your eyes down. Brush aside the leaves and look in those moist, mossy places for the blessing that makes all those days of rain worth it. If you want to learn how to hunt morels, check out our local mushroom expert’s website for information on mushroom walks http://www.brmushrooms.com/ . The fruiting will last about 2 weeks. Enjoy every bite!
