6-19-11 — After being away again, this time all over the Mid-Atlantic region the garden had something in store for us. The garlic scapes had formed, looping seductively over the vigorous stems. There was a whole lot of trimming to do. Our 5 year old grandson Santana was visiting last week and he and his buddy Levi found a whole new use for them--as bazookas. The season is just beginning!
