UNIVERSITY PARK — The Nittany Lions’ 1986 National Championship football team, which beat Miami 14-10 in the 1987 Fiesta Bowl to finish the season 12--0, will be honored for Penn State’s Oct. 8 home game with Iowa.
This season marks the 25th anniversary of the team, the Nittany Lions’ second national championship season in four years.
