Hannah Shields pitched a one-hitter as the State College Girls’ Little League 11-12 softball team won the Section 4 title Friday with a 4-1 victory over Marion Center.

State College advances to state competition which begins Tuesday in Exton.

Shields walked four and struck out 10 as she outdueled Marion Center’s Katie Dotts, who tossed a three-hitter with six walks and two strikeouts.

Shields, Megan Klaus and Andrea Myers each had a hit for State Colle. Dotts had Marion Center’s lone hit.
