Williamsport Crosscutters
When:6:05 p.m. tonight, 7:05 p.m. Monday
Where:Medlar Field at Lubrano Park
Crosscutter to watch: Kelly Dugan — The
Philadelphia Phillies’ 2009 second- round draft pick has an
interesting background. His father, Dennis Dugan, has directed multiple movies, including “Happy Gilmore.” Kelly Dugan’s baseball swing is much better than Adam Sandler’s golf hacks.
Mahoning Valley Scrappers
When:7:05 p.m. Tuesday- Friday
Where:Eastwood Field,
Niles, Ohio, Tuesday- Wednesday, Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, Thursday- Saturday
Scrapper to watch: Bryson Myles — The Cleveland Indians’ sixth-round draft pick from Stephen F. Austin is fast. But we’re hearing his younger brother, Candon Myles, is even faster. The Pittsburgh Pirates selected Candon in this year’s 12th round. Candon, who played at South Prairie (Texas) High School, hasn’t signed yet, so there’s no brotherly matchup this week.
Brooklyn Cyclones
When:7:05 p.m. Saturday Where:Medlar Field at Lubrano Park
Cyclone to watch:Frank Viola — No. the three-time All-Star and former World Series MVP isn’t making a comeback. Viola is the Cylcones pitching coach. We’re guessing he still has the stuff to confuse New York-Penn League hitters.
