A Blair County woman died after a two-vehicle crash Saturday morning in Porter Township, Huntingdon County.

State police in Huntingdon said the woman, Ellen Bauer- Moyer, of Duncansville, was turning from River Road onto U.S. Route 22 but pulled into the path of another vehicle. The other vehicle, a 1997 Dodge Dakota, crashed into the driver’s side of Bauer-Moyer’s vehicle, a 2006 Ford Fusion.

Police said Bauer-Moyer had died by the time emergency officials arrived.

The driver of the other vehicle was taken to Altoona Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Rush Township mailbox damaged by gunfire

State police in Philipsburg said a mailbox in Rush Township may have been damaged by gunfire sometime between Oct. 5 and Thursday.
