7-17-11 — This is the 10th year of the Cook Like a Chef summer cooking camp for kids that takes place in the Foods Lab at Henderson. Thirty campers participated last week, learning culinary basics along with exploring the new Choose My Plate USDA guidelines. The kids could not have been happier to taste and cook with the bounty of the fruits and vegetables of Central PA in the summer! Interns Danielle Ward and Kate Long from Leeds Metropolitan in England helped out with the program nd will fill us in this week on how their required nutrition and culinary education differs from what we deliver here. Maybe it's the "how" and not the "what". We'll find out next week when we travel the world in our Ethnic Chef cooking camp.
