I spoke with both Dave Cannon and Samuel Settle last night, during and after the school board meeting. Part of their responses ran in today's paper, but I'll have more info later.
Here Settle responds to the Democratic email, shares a link to a WTAJ story about the Tea Party, and talks about the Palestinian Wall of Lies project which was videotaped -- warning there's cursing, but not by Settle.
Hi Ed,
We hit most of the high points of my response in our conversation tonight, but I just wanted to highlight 2 things I considered especially worth noting.
1) It seems rather pathetic to resort to fear-mongering and negative campaigning in a school board race.
2) This is a minor point, but still... among the "negative" things they list about me is my leadership in the Palestinian Wall of Lies project. This is just muddies the waters--my support of Israel has nothing to do with my run for school board. But beyond that, if you don't agree with the position I take in the clip, just who do you agree with--the foul-mouthed anti-Semite who tried to assault me?
If you're interested in following up on the connection between me and 9012, you might find this link interesting (http://wearecentralpa.com/wtaj-news-fulltext?nxd_id=219676); it's an interview I and a few others did with WTAJ regarding the "Tea Party" in 2010, and it pretty much tells you where I stand on the movement.
