My father and I,
Hand in hand,
Make our way to the yard.
A shovel and Watering can
In tow.
A small hole is dug,
My hand lets go,
The seed is set free.
It grows,
And it Grows,
With tender care.
My father is my one and only,
He is my rock,
He is my foundation.
Time elapses,
And his day has come
To pass on into a world unknown,
unrevealed, a secret.
I shed a tear
Standing there.
The Apple tree,
It towers over me.
Time has passed too quickly.
I turn around,
No regrets,
But I too will miss this tree,
These memories.
