The Bellefonte Elks Lodge #1094 once again raised funds for the Elks National Foundation Program by conducting a Holiday Prize Giveaway.

The Holiday Giveaway was won by Mark Spearley and raised almost $825 for the National Foundation. The Giveaway took place on Christmas Eve at the Bellefonte Elks Club.

On behalf of the clients we serve, I want to thank everyone who helped make the American Red Cross Centre Communities Chapter Gift Wrap booth at the Nittany Mall a huge success. More than 1,600 gifts were wrapped and almost $9,000 was raised through gift wrapping and donations.

I want to especially thank the following organizations, businesses and individuals that helped: Nittany Mall for providing the space for our event; Frost & Conn Inc. for its 10th year of sponsorship; SPE Federal Credit Union for its 10th year of sponsorship; House Wire Inc. for its second year of sponsorship; Karen Delmonico, Geri Stonebraker, Louise Shope, Tracey Moore and Judi Vratarich for their hard work to make sure everything ran smoothly; the set-up and tear-down crew — your hard work has not gone unnoticed; the volunteers who gave their time to wrap the gifts; and our wonderful customers who had their gifts wrapped.
