SUNBURY — Pins by Tanner Day and Nick Shawley in the final two bouts helped Bellefonte defeat Shikellamy 43-31 in Big 7 action Tuesday.

With the match tied 31-31, Day pinned Evan Witmer in 2:45 at 170 pounds. Day, a freshman, trailed 4-1 when he decked Witmer. Shawley then secured the victory by pinning Caleb Shirk in 1:20 at 182.

Leo Wortman added a pin at 145, Tom Traxler majored Tanner Fasold 14-2 at 120 and Cody Fisher posted a 6-1 decision over Jacob Hummel at 132. The Red Raiders (4-2, 1-2 Big 7) also took advantge of three Shikellamy (3-3, 1-1) forfeits.
