State College police filed additional charges today against Tyler Marlatt and Fatima Ghoul after officers found more than 30 grams of marijuana in their Southgate Drive home.
Marlatt and Ghoul are already jailed on charges stemming from what police called a drug deal gone awry that led to a fatal stabbing Monday night in Lemont.
Police charged Marlatt on Tuesday with the murder of Tyler V Struble, 20, who they said tried to get out of paying about $20 for marijuana.
Marlatt allegedly stabbed Struble in the neck in the backyard of Struble’s home at 831 Henszey St., Lemont.
Ghoul was charged with felony drug and robbery counts stemming from the alleged failed drug deal outside her home on Southgate Drive that police say precipitated the stabbing.
The newest charges against Marlatt and Ghoul were filed Friday before District Judge Thomas Jordan after a search warrant was executed Tuesday at the couple’s home.
In a criminal complaint, police said they found more than 30 grams of marijuana and smaller amounts of synthetic marijuana and prescription pills.
