Great Lakes Brewing Co., an Ohio-based craft brewer plans to enter the central Pennsylvania market with Frank B. Fuhrer Wholesale on Feb. 1. Great Lakes Brewing already distributes to the Pittsburgh, Erie and Philadelphia markets. Increasing distribution in the state aligns with the company’s strategic growth plans, according to a news release.

The market rollout will involve customer appreciation events, meet-and-greets, tastings and giveaways throughout the area.

Founded in 1988 by brothers Patrick and Daniel Conway as the first craft brewery in the state of Ohio, GLBC brews Dortmunder Gold Lager, Eliot Ness Amber Lager, Burning River Pale Ale, Commodore Perry India Pale Ale and Edmund Fitzgerald Porter.
