An Osceola Mills man who was struck by a car on Presqueisle Street in Philipsburg last month died Tuesday morning of complications from injuries suffered in the crash.

Anthony Falce, 68, had remained hospitalized at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh since Dec. 10, according to his daughter-in-law, Lori Falce.

State police at Philipsburg said following the crash that Anthony Falce, at about 7:30 p.m. Dec. 10, had walked between two parked cars and into the path of a vehicle whose driver was unable to avoid hitting him.

A family member at the time said Anthony Falce suffered two broken legs, a broken arm and head injuries. He was flown to Altoona Regional Health System, then transferred to UPMC.

Lori Falce, who writes a weekly column on Philipsburg-area news for the Centre Daily Times, said the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office is investigating and will coordinate with state police at Philipsburg.

Funeral arrangements are pending.
