I met Joe Paterno at a Boy Scout Awards Banquet at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in May 2004. We spent 5 minutes sipping our drinks and discussing Virgil’s Aeneid and Joe and Sue’s generous support of the Penn State Libraries (with absolutely no mention of football).
