I met Joe Paterno at a Boy Scout Awards Banquet at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in May 2004. We spent 5 minutes sipping our drinks and discussing Virgil's Aeneid and Joe and Sue's generous support of the Penn State Libraries (with absolutely no mention of football). He was an amazing man whose influence and positive legacy will be felt for years to come. Submitted by John McDermott, State College.
