I grew up with Penn State and my mother is from Bellefonte. Joe Paterno was a friend to me and many others.

Paterno built a university and a football program that gave me pride in a great team and cultivated my everyday life: believing in myself, respecting others and keeping true to my morals no matter the situation.

Paterno’s character and love built Penn State and helped build who I am today. Rest in peace, my friend.
