Centre County players announce college decisions

Five Centre County football players announced college decisions during signing day ceremonies today.

State College defensive lineman David Gordeuk and running back Jack Haffner are headed to Division I programs. Gordeuk will play at Navy and Haffner plans to join coach Bill O’Brien’s first Penn Stat team as a preferred walk-on. Defensive lineman Jon Cox is headed to Division III Franklin & Marshall. The trio helped State College finish 8-5 and reach the PIAA Class AAAA quarterfinals.

Philipsburg-Osceola kicker Alex Boumerhi (Lock Haven) and lineman Kyle Lanich (Edinboro) signed with Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference schools. The duo helped Philipsburg-Osceola finish 9-3 and reach the District 6 Class AA semifinals.
