Five Centre County football players announced college decisions during signing day ceremonies today. State College defensive lineman David Gordeuk and running back Jack Haffner are headed to Division I programs. Gordeuk will play at Navy and Haffner plans to join coach Bill O’Brien’s first Penn Stat team as a preferred walk-on. Defensive lineman Jon Cox is headed to Division III Franklin & Marshall. The trio helped State College finish 8-5 and reach the PIAA Class AAAA quarterfinals. Philipsburg-Osceola kicker Alex Boumerhi (Lock Haven) and lineman Kyle Lanich (Edinboro) signed with Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference schools. The duo helped Philipsburg-Osceola finish 9-3 and reach the District 6 Class AA semifinals.
