Weis Markets has announced its grand opening date for its new superstore in Spring Township.

The supermarket will open at 7 a.m. Feb. 26. The company will permanently close its Bellefonte store on Feb. 25. The 62,000-square-foot grocery store will also have a pharmacy, a fuel center, and a 35-seat cafe that is licensed to sell beer.

Weis spent $20 million on the store’s construction, including more than $2 million to add a traffic signal and turning lanes and improvements to state Route 550.
