Little Lions win fourth straight victory

UNIVERSITY PARK — State College scored two goals in all three periods as it defeated Shaler 6-1 on Thursday for its fourth straight victory.

Danny Mosone scored in the first and second periods to lead State College with two goals. Stefan Horgas scored in the first period, Jill Holdcroft scored in the second, and Dalton Bown and Fletcher Ruby scored in the third.

State College (9-6-1) out-shot Shaler 54-18 and went 3-for-6 on power plays.

Moscone, Holdcroft and Ruby were three of 10 players honored during State College’s Senior Night ceremonies. Corey Bown, Bobby Leahey, Sam Englehart, Derrick May, Adam Karas, Jay Chuba and Sebastian Holler were also honored.
