SpikesFest set for Sunday

UNIVERSITY PARK —The State College Spikes are holding their annual SpikesFest from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Penn State Multi-Sport Indoor Facility.

The sixth annual event includes appearances by former Spikes catcher Matt Skirving, The Pirate Parrot, Ike the Spike, Penn State baseball coaches and Penn State assistant men’s basketball coach Keith Urgo. Admission and parking are free. 

 

The event also includes a silent auction benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer. A Joe DiMaggio autographed photo, Kobe Bryant autographed jersey and Mike Tyson autographed boxing glove are among the items being auctioned.

 

Live music by Dreams and Bones and performances by the Nittany Dreamers and Tir Na Nog are some of Sunday's other activities.
