Having been fortunate enough to have seen the football lettermens tribute to Joe Paterno last Sunday afternoon compels me to recommend it to everyone.
Not because of the outstanding professional production, despite the very short time frame. Not because of the more than 70 personal anecdotes spanning the past 50 years. Not because of the interspersed poignant photos of Joe and Sue. Not because of the glimpses of special on-the-field moments from years past.
You should go for the selfish reason that you will come away with a sense of pride. Proud because this community has spawned such a fine group of men once mentored by a man of integrity who passed on that gift to so many of his former charges.
To see so many real men sharing their emotions honestly is an inspiration. Take the opportunity to share in this, The Joe We Know.
