Came across a troubling story on former Penn State men's basketball player Gyasi Cline-Heard today. One of the catalysts in the Nittany Lions' run to the Sweet 16 in 2001 was arrested on charges that he was the leader of a gun and drug ring in Pasco and Pinella, Florida, according to this story in the Tampa Bay Times.
Undercover vice agents bought cocaine and a gun from Cline-Heard prior to raids of his Palm Harbor tattoo shop and his house in Trinity, according to the story. The report also references the story I wrote one year ago today on Penn State's 2001 NCAA tournament team, which you can read here.
