Hershey lineman orally commits to Penn State

Hershey offensive lineman Andrew Nelson has orally committed to Penn State after receiving a scholarship offer this past weekend.

The 6-foot-5, 265-pound junior is the eighth member of the Nittany Lions' 2013 recruiting class. Nelson and Cedar Cliff tight end Adam Breneman give the class two players from the Harrisburg area.

Nelson is the second offensive lineman in the class. Brendan Mahon of Randloph (N.J.) orally committed to Penn State last month.

Nelson helped Hershey finish 8-3 and reach the District 3 Class AAA playoffs last season. Nelson also had offers from Maryland Missouri, Northwestern, Pitt and Temple.
