State College police said a Bellefonte man wearing nothing but socks and shoes led them on a foot pursuit early Saturday morning and now is behind bars.

This marks the 12th time 50-year-old Kelvin Flory has been arrested after such an incident in Centre County, according to court records.

State College police said Flory was reported to have been running naked between homes along South Atherton Street around 2:20 a.m.

Police said Flory refused to stop and ran for several blocks before he was arrested.

Flory was most recently arrested in 2010 after he was seen naked and masturbating in the Hills Plaza along South Atherton Street. He was sentenced to a year in a state prison.

Before that, he was arrested in 1995, 1999, 2001, 2003, 2004 and 2007 for open lewdness or indecent exposure incidents.

For instance, in 2001, he suffered scratches to his legs and genitals after he ran from Patton Township police responding to a report of a naked man near the UniMart on West Aaron Drive.

In April 2004, police responded to a report of a man on old Route 220 near Howard.

In May 2007, he was found masturbating on the grounds of the Pennsylvania Military Museum in Harris Township. The next month, police said he was caught on surveillance cameras masturbating in front of the Snappy’s on University Drive, State College.

In January 2007, Bellefonte police responded to a report of a naked man running around, and they followed footprints in the snow to find his vehicle and later arrested him.

In 1995, police said he exposed himself to several women in Huston Township and he was arrested for masturbating in front of his trailer along North Atherton Street in Patton Township.

Flory is in the Centre County Correctional Facility on $5,000 unsecured bail.

He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing today.
