Penn State receives oral commitment from Florida defensive back

Penn State has received an oral commitment from Northview (Fla.) High School defensive back Neiko Robinson.

The 5-foot-11, 170-pound rising senior is ranked the 18th best safety in Florida, according to Robinson transferred to Northview after helping Flomaton (Ala.) High School to an 11-2 record last season.

Robinson, the ninth member of the 2013 recruiting class, represents Penn State’s first oral commitment since Hershey lineman Andrew Nelson announced his decision on April 15. Robinson joins Avon (Ohio) High School cornerback Ross Douglas as the second defensive back in the class.
