Ashley Ohnmeiss-Moyer, a student at South Hills School of Business & Technology, recently was awarded a scholarship from the State College chapter of the Philanthropic Educational Organization.

Ohnmeiss-Moyer , a dean’s list student, is entering her second year of study in the health information technology program at South Hills.

PEO is a philanthropic group that promotes educational opportunities for women through a variety of grants, awards and loans. Ohnmeiss-Moyer is one of more than 85,000 women who have benefitted from PEO’s worldwide projects.

Sarah Smeltzer, of Bellefonte, has been named to Chatham University’s dean’s list for the spring term. Smeltzer is a second-year student at Chatham University .

Matthew Lukens, of Centre Hall, was named to the dean’s list at Florida Institute of Technology for the spring semester. Lukens is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering.
