— The Jerry Sandusky trial is out of session until Monday.

Senior Judge John Cleland said at the end of witness testimony Thursday that court will resume next week.

The state did not rest its child sex abuse case against Sandusky on Thursday, but it appears to be close to wrapping up.

Cleland said he doesn’t know yet what time court will reconvene Monday. Jurors will call a number to find out when they should appear.

Technical difficulties have caused a few long lunch breaks in the case, but it still has been moving quicker than anticipated. Cleland had originally said it would be finished by the end of June.

Testimony in the case opened Monday.

Cleland also reiterated his warnings to jurors not to read newspapers, Facebook or any other media outlet that could have information about the case.

“Between now and then we’ve got three days of temptation,” Cleland said.
