MILROY A big offensive game from Eric Ebersole led Lewistown to an 8-5 victory over Lemont in Centre County Baseball League action Thursday.
Ebersole started the game in a big way, hitting a grand slam off Dan Sowash with one out in the bottom of the first. Ebersole finished with seven RBIs. He walked with the bases loaded in the second, hit an RBI double in the fourth and added an RBI single in the fifth.
Andy Georgeson added two singles and Tanner Kibe earned the victory on the mound for Lewistown (6-4).
Lemont had 11 hits. Kyle Wright led the Ducks with three singles. Erik Kempton and Kieran Kempton each added two singles for the Ducks.
Blanchard 11, Unionville 3
UNIONVILLE Pitcher Tim Stover led Blanchard to a victory over Unionville.
Matt McGhee had a double for the Bees and Brett Hagensteller added three singles. Josh Bechdel and Chad Todd each added two singles.
Tyler Corl took the loss for Unionville. Mike Lutz and Dan Cole both doubled for the Cardinals.
Pleasant Gap 14, Mifflin County 7
PLEASANT GAP Pleasant Gap collected 13 hits and only comitted one error in a victory over Mifflin County
Greg Reeder posted the win, and Devin Alterio blasted a three-run homer. Matt Trues-dale and Reeder both added doubles for Pleasant Gap.
Losing pitcher Brian Billet struck out nine for Mifflin County. Cameron Rhodes and Casey Zimmerman both doubled for the Stars.
Clarence 8, Spring Mills 5
CLARENCE Ryan MacNamara went the distance, registering four strikeouts in the process, and the Mounties erupted in the second inning to defeat Spring Mills.
A disastrous second inning for Spring Mills pitcher Cory Bostors got worse when Jeff Koleno blasted a two-RBI single. MacNamara then added an RBI single and Justin Koleno, John Schall and Brian Kochik had RBI doubles to put the game away early.
Clarence has won three in a row and visits Mifflin County on Sunday.
