BELLEFONTE — Media trucks were clearing out of the borough Thursday to make way for the annual cruise.
The Jerry Sandusky trial has attracted television news reporters — and the large trucks they use for broadcast — from across the state and country. The trucks have been lined up around the county courthouse, with their wires lining the sidewalks and grass.
But, they had to pack up for the 24th annual Bellefonte Cruise car show, which starts today and runs through Sunday. The event attracted about 10,000 people last year.
Along with classic cars in mint condition, the cruise includes a main stage in front of the courthouse.
More than 300 media representatives had registered to cover the Sandusky trial. While the number of people in court has dwindled slightly from opening statements Monday, the court case continues to attract national attention.
The media trucks can return to their spots around the courthouse Monday.
