A Howard teenager who died from injuries suffered in a car crash last week in Clinton County is being buried today.
Cara L. Day, 18, died Wednesday at Geisinger Medical Center, one day after she ran her car off a road in Lamar Township and struck a tree. State police said Day, for unknown reasons, swerved at about 11:30 a.m., leaving the road, re-entering it and then sending her car into a sideways motion.
According to her obituary in the Lock Haven Express, Day was born in Lock Haven, and graduated this year from Central Mountain High School where she participated in soccer and track.
She had been accepted to Lock Haven University. A candlelight vigil in her honor was held at Lock Haven’s Riverview Park.
Burial will be at Schencks Cemetery in Howard Township.
