Penn State has awarded a medical degree to Sara Farag, of State College. Farag, a 2004 graduate of State College Area High School, also holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Penn State. She will continue her training in an obstetrics and gynecology residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York.

Allyson Edington, of Port Matilda, and Julianna Miller, of State College, were named to the president’s list at Mansfield University for the spring semester.

To be named to the president’s list, a student must earn a 4.0 gradepoint average.

The following local students were named to the dean’s list at Mansfield University for the spring semester. To be named to the dean’s list, a student must attain at least a 3.5 grade-point average.
