Letter to the editor | Listen to the people

When a manufacturer wants to increase the efficiency of its production, who has it traditionally turned to? Top levels of management is today’s choice.

Past experience tells us to talk with the workers in the field. This is where things happen and the fundamental decisions are made — decisions surrounded by hands-on experience from those in the trenches.

If you want to grow the school district through better education, ask the community.

Something as monumental as a community center could be needs to involve the community in the process from the start

Using our school board as leverage and education as the excuse to get it done won’t work.

Will the board return to tradition and represent the workers in the field — big, little, rich, or poor — it shouldn’t matter. Each owns an equal portion of this district and contributes to its success or failure.

The Penns Valley school board should represent us. Our constitution says “we the people” not “we the school board.”

I trust the community; you should, too. Return to tradition, open discussions and represent education for the majority, keep our land for education, and let the people decide.
