Letter to the editor | A legacy for everyone to enjoy

Published: June 26, 2012

Many people benefit from Tom Tudek Memorial Park, named in memory of a son of Bob and Elsie Tudek, of State College.

The Tudeks donated more than 60 acres to Ferguson Township for the park, a gathering place with a great diversity of visitors and recreational choices.

Bob Tudek, who contributed to society through his work in the cable television industry and to the local community in many ways, died June 20. Our hearts go out to Elsie Tudek and the family.

Those of us who enjoy Tudek Park should stop and remember Bob Tudek when jogging, playing tennis, having a picnic or walking the dog there.

The Tudeks gave a valuable gift to the public. For their son Tom and now for Bob Tudek, the park is a living legacy.
