Men arrested after I-99 traffic stop in Patton Township

Two out-of-town men were arrested for various offenses after state police at Philipsburg stopped their vehicle for speeding about 1:30 a.m. Monday on Interstate 99 in Patton Township.

Ronald C. Morton, 30, of Williamsport, was arrested after confirmation of an active warrant out of Wilkes-Barre. He is accused of being a fugitive from justice and faces various drug charges, after police found a half-ounce of crack cocaine, a bag of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.

Passenger Parrish Andrew Rawles, 26, of Altoona, also faces various drug charges and is accused of providing false identification to police, after he gave them a fake name and birth date.

Police continue to investigate.
