Athletes shine at Paralympic Trials

INDIANAPOLIS — Penn State graduate Kortney Clemons finished second in the 100 meters and third in the 200 meters in the Paralympic Trials.

Clemons ran the 100 in 13.75 and the 200 in 28.55.

Kortney is a wounded warrior above the knee amputee and 2008 Penn State graduate. He was a medic in the Army when a bomb took his leg.

Max Rohn was third in discus, throwing a personal-best 32.91. He is a recent amputee since January and another medic from the Marines.

Dan Peters, a Navy safe harbour blind athlete, finished second in shot put and discus.
