STATE COLLEGE — State College National eliminated State College American 10-8 on Sunday to advance to the District 5 All- Star Tournament Southern Tier finale.

National will have to beat undefeated Bellefonte twice to win the tournament. Game 1 is at Bellefonte at 6 p.m. on Tuesday. Bellefonte beat National 6-4 on Friday.

Panos Kiratzis put on a dynamic performance for National, striking out five and giving up just three runs in just over five innings. Kiratzis helped his own cause with two home runs, a two-run shot in the first and a solo blast to lead off the fourth inning.

Mason Nit-tardy and Evan Smith each notched three hits while Jack Mangene and Ryan Gess added doubles.

Paul Olivett notched three hits, one of them a double, to lead American.
