TYRONE TOWNSHIP, Blair County — Two men were arrested after an altercation Wednesday at a residence on Dons Drive.
State police said Todd Wesly Pensyl, 40, entered the home of Michael Allen Barner, 41, without permission at about 3 p.m. and assaulted Barner.
According to a police report, Pensyl attacked Barner in the hallway of the residence and pushed Barner through a rear emergency door and out into the backyard. There, police said, “Pensyl repeatedly kicked Barner in the head.”
As he was leaving, police said, Pensyl took Barner’s carved wooden alligator valued at $175 and discarded it on a nearby property.
Pensyl was taken into custody at a nearby residence and charged with burglary, criminal trespass, aggravated assault, simple assault, harassment, theft and receiving stolen property.
Barner was taken by ambulance to Altoona Regional Medical Center for treatment of his injuries. Upon being released from the hospital, Barner was taken into custody on an arrest warrant for an alleged simple assault in an unrelated case.
Both men were arraigned before District Judge Fred Miller.
Pensyl was unable to post bail, set at $25,000, and was sent to the Blair County Jail. Barner was released on $20,000 unsecured bail.
Both are scheduled for preliminary hearings on Tuesday.
