SPRING MILLS — Winning pitcher Johnny Martinez backed his own cause with a double and a single at the plate as the Lemont Ducks defeated the Spring Mills Braves 9-2 on Monday night as the Centre County Baseball League regular season winds down.

Lemont racked up 11 hits and scored a run in all but two innings.

Erik Kempton and John Moyer each had doubles for the Ducks while Kyle Wright and Ben Sallade added two singles apiece.

Tyler Myers belted a triple, Cody Luse and Jordan Schainholz collected three hits each and Kevin Conklin had two hits for the Braves.
