BOALSBURG — A light rain, cool temperatures and gray skies didn’t dampen the moods of Randy Travis fans who made the trip to Tussey Mountain for the country music legend’s concert. But heavy rain Friday evening ended up having the last word.
Concertgoers had been gathering through the precipitation in anticipation of the show. Travis had been scheduled to take the stage at 8 p.m.
After waiting an hour for heavy rain to slow down or cease, officials canceled the show around 9 p.m.
Concert orgnanizers said they would try to reschedule the event, possibly for Labor Day weekend.
Concertgoers are advised to hold onto their tickets to be readmitted for the rescheduled concert.
