HUNTINGDON — Andrew Stover tossed a one-hitter to lead Bellefonte to a 12-1 romp against Huntingdon in the Area 5 VFW Teener 15-16 Tournament on Tuesday.
Adam Kuhn, Toby Shook, Ricky Swartsworth and Trent Fortney each smacked a double and a single as Bellfonte improved to 4-2 in the tournament. Kuhn, Swatsworth and Josh Weaver drove in two runs apiece to help drop Huntingdon to 0-6.
Bellefonte plays host to unbeaten Bald Eagle Area (6-0) today.
Penns Valley edges Mount Union
SPRING MILLS Ryan MacElwee pitched a tight game through five innings, holding Mount Union to only one run as Penns Valley won 8-4 on Tuesday.
Wyatt Sharp smacked a double and two singles, Logan Johnson added two doubles, and Cameron Tobias hit a double and a single to help lead Penns Valley.
Mount Union was led by Tim Wakefield, who singled twice.
The teams will meet again today as Penns Valley plays at Mount Union.
