Cars illegally entered in State College area

Published: August 4, 2012

Four cars have been illegally entered since Friday with property being stolen in some cases, State College police said.

And police think three of the incidents, which occurred in College Township, may be linked.

A vehicle located at 418 Norle St. had change stolen from it and two others, one on 220 Mary St. and another on 1509 Chaumont Ave., were entered, but nothing was reported stolen.

Another vehicle was entered on 705 Windsor Court and a Droid cellphone was taken, an estimated loss of $500, police said.

None of the incidents were listed as “break-ins” because all four vehicles were unlocked, police said.

Police have no suspects and the matter is still under investigation.
